The Utah Pediatric Partnership to Improve Healthcare Quality (UPIQ www.medicine.utah.edu/upiq ) is recruiting for a Quality Improvement Specialist to coordinate and manage ongoing projects in Pediatric Practice Quality Improvement. Incumbent will work with pediatric and other primary care practice teams to plan, implement, and measure quality improvement projects. Duties will include: assisting with organizing Learning Sessions, practice recruitment, curriculum development, providing education and ongoing technical assistance to participating practices, facilitating collaboration with community services and other resources, evaluating the results of QI projects, preparing proposals for funding opportunities, and writing reports.

The requirements are a Bachelor's Degree in a health care field or equivalency plus two years of clinical or related hospital experience, which must include demonstrated oral and written communication and presentation skills and knowledge of basic quality improvement principles and techniques.

A degree and experience as a skilled medical professional (RN or BSW) or Masters degree in a related area (MHA, MSW, MPA, MBA); experience in management, coordination, training, quality improvement, team building, program development, and evaluation; and experience working in a primary care pediatric practice are strongly preferred.
