Time: 9:00 am-12:30pm (check in from 8:30-9:00am; course begins promptly at 9:00am) 
bagels will be provided, but please bring snacks and beverages as needed!

Cost:

With the NASW Comprehensive study guide and practice questions: $100 NASW members / $130 non-members

Without the NASW Comprehensive study guide and practice questions: $50 NASW members / $80 non-members

The cost to purchase the comprehensive study guide a la carte through our website is $110-$120.  So, if you do not own a study guide already, we encourage you to purchase the course with the study guide!

Also, you must be logged in to see and select the member pricing!

New NASW members! In order to receive the member discount, you will need to wait approximately 48 hours after joining NASW to register for the course.  This is because it takes about 2 days for your information to be transferred from the national office to the Utah Chapter, and for you to be able to login to the chapter website! Register early!

After March 26th, you can pay at the door, but space is not guaranteed and there is an additional $15 fee.

About the Course:
Join us for the most effective preparation course for your social work licensing exam!  At this condensed licensing course, taught by Rich Landward, LCSW, MPA, you will learn test-taking strategies, review critical content areas, practice answering sample test questions, and gain the experience and confidence you need to tackle the exam.  A 200-plus page study book complete with practice questions can be purchased as part of this course.

About the Presenter:  Rich Landward LCSW, MPA is currently an assistant professor/lecturer in the College of Social Work at the University of Utah.  He specializes in using Mind Body Bridging and Motivational Interviewing to treat Post Traumatic Stress, anxiety and substance use in children, adolescents, and adults.  Rich received master’s degrees in social work and public administration from the University of Utah. Prior to teaching full time, Rich worked for the Veterans Administration Medical Center treating chronically mentally ill homeless veterans.  He has also worked in highly impacted schools in Midvale, Utah implementing a comprehensive community schools model and school based mental health programs to support students and families impacted by poverty and mental illness.
